Every
supporting church has a Backpackers Rep. Do speak to them if you
would like to help. They can give you more information about the
different roles. If you cannot contact
your church rep for any reason, please see the Contact
Us page for
details of how to e-mail the organisers.
Backpackers runs Monday to Thursday between 9.00 and 4.30 for helpers.

During Backpackers
Week the following are needed:
Group
Leaders & Assistant
Group Leaders
Working in a small team looking
after children this is THE critical role at Backpackers.
The number of children that attend depends on the number of group
personnel available.
Activity
Leaders & Helpers
These are part of teams that run activities for several groups
of children at a time. For Backpackers 2012 the planned activities are:
Dance,
Cooking, Drama, Craft, Thinking Challenge, Games, Football, Music
Minipackers Helpers
Minipackers is a creche for the younger children of helpers who are on site.
Cafe Team
Providing refreshments for the children and helpers at Backpackers
First Aid Team
Requires a First Aid certificate
Welcome Team
Welcoming visitors and providing information for parents and helpers
Site maintenance & Facilities
Keeping the site clean and safe throughout the week
Security Guards
Making sure all the equipment is safe when Backpackers is not running
Roles off-site - can't be there during the week?
There's still many ways you can help. Perhaps
preparing the materials the children will use or h elping
to set up and dismantle the site... and more - please ask!Also
we can all pray! Please do pray for everyone and everything
about Backpackers.
