BACKPACKERS - APPLYING FOR A PLACE FOR A CHILD

BACKPACKERS is for children from the Reception to Y6 (2018-19 academic year) age group who are from the HP5 postcode area, attend a Chesham School or attend a Chesham Church. Applying for a place on-line for your child or children is the most secure and accurate method, ensuring there are no transcription errors. The link to an on-line application form is below, along with a PDF which you can download and print if you prefer to use a paper application. (Your child should have been given one of these forms at school, if they attend a Chesham School). You must complete a separate application form for each child whether on-line or on paper.

We are operating a first come, first served system for 2019 (tbc for 2020). However, please note that completion of either the on-line or paper form DOES NOT GUARANTEE a place at this year’s BACKPACKERS since places are limited.   If BACKPACKERS is over-subscribed a waiting list will be formed and any places becoming available will be allocated according to the date the form was received.  Please be assured that church attendance and parental donations do not affect any child being allocated a place.

Please note requests for children to be in the same group as a friend in the same year group cannot be accommodated if the application is received after 9 June 2020.

BACKPACKERS is part funded by Churches Together for Chesham. We do not make any charge for children to attend BACKPACKERS. However, any donation towards the cost that you could make would be very welcome, (a suggested donation would be �60 per child for the four days but any amount is helpful). You can donate online here: Donations for Backpackers 2020 100% of the donations come to BACKPACKERS through wonderful.org (unlike some other giving sites). If you perefer to use a printed form you can enclose a donation with your booking form, or separately. We will refund your donation, if required, should your child not be allocated a place at BACKPACKERS this year.
